Job Description for Solar Mechanical / Civil Supervisor (Site Supervisor)
* Location: Leicester
We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Solar Mechanical/Civil Site Supervisor to lead the construction, installation, and operation of solar projects. You’ll help deliver high-quality solar projects while keeping safety, budgets, and deadlines on track.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are safe, on time, and within budget.
* Make sure all work follows health and safety regulations
* Lead and support site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
* Troubleshoot any on-site challenges to keep everything on schedule.
* Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and clients for smooth project updates.
* Carry out site inspections to check on progress, safety, and compliance.
* Manage reports on timelines, safety, budget, and quality standards.
* Track equipment, materials, and resource inventory on-site.
* Advocate for sustainable best practices on all solar installations.
What We’re Looking For:
* A proven track record managing solar or renewable energy sites.
* SSSTS certification is required. (or SMSTS)
* A valid CSCS card and UK driving licence.
* Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
* Organized and results-driven, even under pressure.
* Experience with construction management software or similar tools is a bonus
