Role: Toolmaker
Location: Tamworth
Hours: 42 hours per week (day shift)
Pay: £35,000 – £38,868
Role Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and repair tool room machinery and production tooling, including manufacturing new tools and parts from drawings or existing components.
Respond promptly to tooling breakdowns, troubleshoot production issues, and support maintenance operations to minimize disruptions.
Uphold high standards of workmanship, contribute to continuous improvement, and carry out general machinery-related tasks safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment, adhering to Health & Safety policies and departmental principles of Time, Ability, and Safety.
Essential Experience:
Demonstrated experience in toolmaking or precision engineering
Proficient in operating and maintaining tool room machinery
Capable of interpreting and working from technical drawings
Familiarity with the repair and modification of extrusion and mould tools
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-led environment
Understanding of health and safety practices relevant to an engineering workshop
