About the Role Smile Education is recruiting a Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Hyde, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, long-term position with an ASAP start, supporting children in a variety of years with their learning and development.
You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality support, helping to create a positive learning environment and supporting the individual needs of pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
Assist pupils with learning tasks and encourage participation
Help to prepare resources and classroom materials
Provide support to pupils with additional needs
Encourage positive behaviour and support a safe learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress as directed by the teacher
Support whole-class teaching and small group interventionsRequirements
Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable
A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are preferred but not essentialWhat’s on Offer
